 About Chef

Chef Wajid Ali, founder of New Paradise, is an experienced hospitality professional and entrepreneur with over a decade in the industry. Born in Hyderabad, India, and later based in Wellington, New Zealand, he successfully launched New Paradise in Wellington in 2022, owning and operating two successful Indian restaurants known for their authentic flavors and quality service. With a Master’s degree in Hotel Management and Culinary Arts, Wajid combines tradition with modern flair. He is now bringing the New Paradise experience to Melbourne, with a new restaurant in Moonee Ponds, delivering traditional Indian recipes and a truly memorable dining experience.
